Picture day for 4th and 5th graders.

Del Rio Studios will be photographing all the students at Willow Grove Elementary next week starting on Tuesday, August 31st.  Although we are new to your school, we have been photographing a number of select schools in the San Diego area for over 12 years and look forward to working with all the students and staff at Willow Grove Elementary.  Our style is unique in school portraits.  We don’t use hard flashes or bulky tripods and prefer a more natural style.  This is much better for young children and it frees them up to be themselves and give us their natural expressions.  Parents can review samples of our student portrait work by opening the following link to our student portrait gallery:

The portraits will be available online within the next several weeks. You will be given a website link from the school via email.  You will be able to review and purchase your child’s portraits right online.  Both prints and digital jpg files are available.  All digital jpg files are sent directly to you as an attachment to an email from the studio giving you permission to reprint the image.  Prints will be mailed to your home directly from the lab.  No photos will be delivered to the school.  Shipping is free and retouching, if needed, is complimentary.  Packages range in price from $29 to $79 and include digital jpg files, custom prints, or a combination of both.  Custom orders are always available by contacting the studio.  Let us know how we can help you.  We are here to make sure you get exactly what you need for your student. 

Grooming tips:  All students should have clean hair and be encouraged to bring their own brush or comb with them.  We will not be providing combs or brush hair due to COVID this year.  Collared polo shirts on boys work best and girls look good in colored tops or dresses.  Solid white and yellow should be avoided as these colors tend to wash out the subject’s face in close ups.  Hoodies and logo tee shirts should also be avoided.  But these are just guidelines.  If your student wants to wear something that is special to them, let them do so.  We want the students to enjoy their portrait session and look forward to getting their pictures taken each year
